AquaVida embeds gender equity and social inclusion at every level of our organisation. Women make up almost 60% of our leadership team, and we actively encourage female candidates through inclusive recruitment. We prioritise engagement with women, youth, and other marginalised groups — whether or not they have aquaculture experience. Our offerings include group-based finance, training, and hands-on support tailored to their needs. We focus on building confidence, skills, and economic participation through inclusive business models that help overcome structural barriers.
We actively transform community attitudes by ensuring women leaders are visible during farmer onboarding, challenging traditional norms. Through regular communication with our farming communities, we highlight the value of equal participation.
